I was originally going to use this bowl as one of my theme projects but it has a small crack and a very thin lip so i used a different bowl for it. However, this bowl is big enough (4 inches by 5 inches) to be used as one of the bowls for the food bank, so i donated it! This bowl very closely resembles my theme projects, but is perfectly functional for soup!

This is my second theme project. It is about 3 inches tall and 4 inches wide. This one resembles my other theme project, because I have a tendency towards bowls and drip glazes so i felt like these would be good theme projects. The main design element is movement because the glaze appears to be pooling at the bottom of the bowl, and this goes hand in hand with the main art element, which is color.
This is my theme project. It is about 3.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide at the top. The main art element is color which helps emphasize the main design element, which is the movement. The unique feature of this bowl is that the drip glaze is upside down, which is not super cool. But since i've seen this now, I know exactly what to do for my next project.
This is my wheel altered project. It is about 2 inches tall and 3 inches wide. The primary art element is color which helps emphasize the primary design element which is movement. The white that I used as a base for this project joined with the shadow green and created the dripping effect, which is the movement. With this project, I had to learn how to create the smooth curves at the lip, which are uneven so I need to get more practice with that!
This is my extra credit vase. It is very small, about 1 inch tall and 1 inch wide. I'm not a super huge fan of the color, but since I chose to use sydney blue for the entire vase, it has a lot of unity. This vase challenged me a lot because every small move i made affected the vase so my hands hands had to be very steady!
This is my extra credit bowl. It is very small, about 2 inches wide and 1.5 inches tall. I used shadow green drip on a white glaze for this one and I really like how it turned out! The color of the drip (art element) creates the illusion of movement on the project (design element). I think i could improve this project by making the walls a little more curved than straight, however i do like the finished product!
This is my set of 3. I made 3 cylinders and glazed them all similarly. The colors I used, shadow green and white, both create the most prominent design element of this project, movement. The colors dripping down the inside and outside of the projects create the effect of the glaze rubbing down the side. The cylinders vary in size slightly from 3 inches wide and 4 inches tall to 3 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. However, they are clearly a set as they look so similar! I definitely like this glaze with these projects and you will definitely see it again in the future.
This is my tall project! It is about 8 inches tall and 1.5 inches at the base. With this project, I reinforced my ability to pull the wall more than normal and choking it to bring it back to a smaller shape and taller. With the glaze that I used, it spirals around the project creating a wavy movement with the color. I really enjoy both the spiral and the dripping effect both utilized on one project. I think I will try to make another tall project like this and use a different color with this pattern, but we will see!
This is my bowl. It is 4 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The art element of this project is color and it creates unity, which is the design element. The alternating colors give the project unity and harmony because they come together in the middle. I experimented with glazes a little bit with this project and I will definitely be using the clear blue in the future!
This is my bowl. It is about 3 inches tall and 4.5 inches wide. The main art element of this project is color which emphasizes the design element of movement. The dripping glaze gives the impression of movement with the bowl and the shadow green glaze adds a couple of random darker colors into the mix. I really like the mix of these colors and the shape of the bowl so maybe we will see this kind of setup in the future!
